Eleanor Roosevelt: Chained By Perspective

May 6

Curiosity must be kept alive. One must never turn his back on life.
                ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

The different angles of life give us the perspectives by which we live our lives. Reality is perception, they say. So what angles are you viewing your life from? The angle of grace or the angle of bitterness or rejection? The angle of Grace is straight forward and easy to see. We just don’t always want to see life from this perspective. Grace gives us what we need but not always what we want. And that’s not always the angle we really WANT to view life from.

We cannot run from nor ignore the realities of our lives. Certain situations are what they are and must be faced with a healthy reality. But reality is a constant changing, shifting shape of time based in our perspective. When things are bad, we have the choice of remaining where we are while seeing no hope or we can search for new angles from which to view our circumstances and make the realities of those circumstances shift in our favor. There is a very fine line between accepting our reality while remaining optimistic and hopeful of what still lies ahead. Grace will always give us a foothold upwards into a life that is always better then where we currently reside… whether our present realities are good or not.
Peace, today. SAG

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 35:10

10 And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
