“We must continually remind ourselves of the purpose of life. We are NOT destined to happiness, or to health, but to Holiness.” ~ Oswald Chambers
In my arrogance, I presume to assume too much about the true nature of God when I’ve not done near enough investigation into the matter. Idleness is the by-product which eventually leads me to spiritual apathy. At least with this revelation that God’s Holy Spirit has brought home to me, I am able to reconcile the arrogance with foolishness and ignore both in favor of God’s Truth.
The nature of God is absolute. His Grace is His Nature and it is absolute. His Goodness and His Mercy are absolute and both are apart of His Nature. But of all the wonderful parts that make up God’s Nature, it is His absolute love for me that must grip my heart so firmly. Going beyond John 3:16 is what I’m suppose to do with the knowledge of all that His love brings into my life. There is a path God’s love puts me on that will be difficult to travel… until I toss out my pride leaving behind all arrogance. Unsaddled by this luggage, the road becomes much easier to travel.

Today’s Scripture: Isaiah 35:8
8 And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.
