Martin Luther: Destined For Holiness

August 3

“Peace if possible. Truth, at all costs.” ~ Martin Luther

Where does your conscience lie? Align your conscience with the Holy Spirit and watch how quickly holiness begins to permeate your life. Things which never bothered you before will begin to trouble your spirit greatly. Don’t be distressed for this is the Holy Spirit finally making some strides within you.

We know that we’re not called for impurity but until we choose to align our conscience with His, we will never make serious strides in becoming Holy just as He has called us to be. Christ has given us His Holy Spirit to help us but get your mind set and make your determination be led into the Holiness of God by His Spirit. He has given us His Spirit and we would do well NOT to disregard it.

“We are not destined to happiness, but to Holiness.” ~ Oswald Chambers

At all costs, we must intentionally persistently be in pursuit of the Holiness of God and this can only begin when we decide to be wholly be invested in God’s Truth. His Holy Spirit will guide us but we must be willing to listen, to follow Him and to obey. We are destined for Holiness…

Peace, Sean Gutteridge

Today’s Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 4:7-8

7 For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness.

8 Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.
