“No love of the human heart is safe unless it has been satisfied by God first.” ~ Oswald Chambers
If I can no longer see the blessings of God around me then I have lost the ability to magnify His name. It’s that simple. When I am so bogged down and consumed with fear and worry, that is the sin of ignoring all that God has done. He is with me in my struggles. The Lord never expects us NOT to struggle, He simply wants us to see Him in those struggles. By doing so, I believe we will remember, too, that He will also bring us through those struggles. God can’t get us through them without going through them with you. Can you imagine anything more wonderful then that? A God who chooses to travel those difficult roads with you? He doesn’t have to. He wants to. He has chosen to experience your pain with you. He chooses to give His life, His power, His knowledge to you. Everything that He is and He has is ours for the taking. We must merely open our eyes and take it in. THIS is transformation. When we begin to open ourselves up to receive all He has for us we will not just experience His blessings… we truly live in His blessings by living in Him.
Can’t I see that Christ is the blessing of all blessings? I resist His sanctifying process and fail to see how instrumental it is NOT simply to my well balanced living… it is how He gently moves me closer into a more perfect relationship with Him. All things must align with Him in order that we can perfectly function the way God originally intended us to. And it begins by recognizing each blessing not given us but rather each one found in His presence. Without this daily, spiritual approach, my life teeters in the balance and NO love will be safe in my heart until this becomes the cornerstone rooted therein. From this foundation of understanding, all that Christ is and has done and can do transcends my mere knowledge of Him… it awakens my deep gratitude and Love for Him and will certainly affect each action, word and every deed which originates from my corrupted heart. I cannot explain it… but that certainly is an amazing and mysteries thing!
Peace to you, today! SAG
Today’s Scripture: Ezra 7:27-28
27 Blessed be the LORD, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the LORD that is in Jerusalem,
28 and who extended to me his steadfast love before the king and his counselors, and before all the king’s mighty officers. I took courage, for the hand of the LORD my God was on me, and I gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me.
