“Courage is the price that life exacts for granting peace”
~ Amelia Earhart
You know where you SHOULD be going… So WHY you going the other way?! Do we really think we can run and hide from God? Wow. This is just a whole new level of delusion and denial! And trust me when I say… I’ve been there.
What am I thinking as I’m running in the opposite direction where I KNOW God really wants me to be? I’m not afraid… I just flat out don’t wanna do what God has clearly asked me to do. Can we just be honest and admit it? I’ve never been a big fan of Jonah… he’s kind of a putz. Maybe I relate to Jonah a little more then I’d like to admit, though. And that may also explain why I’ve never been a big fan of boat rides! Stop running the wrong way. If he’s got a job for you, pack your bags and get going. If you have issues with the assignment get it resolved… but do so in route – in the right direction. And whatever you do, stay off boats… unless they’re headed in the right direction!
Peace, today! SAG
Today’s Scripture: Jonah 1:1-3
1 Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying,
2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.”
3 But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish. So he paid the fare and went on board, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD.
