Worship must be more then a temporal experience. We must immerse ourselves in our worship of One who is far beyond our comprehension and be willing to see ourselves in a greater need for the One who can do more then we are capable of doing by ourselves.
It is in my worship that I express more then gratitude; the expression of worship is the revealing of a longing heart that finally comes to an understanding of all that it truly lacks and accepts that it needs more. And the only place it can turn to is the place where the Only One who can fulfill these needs is a Holy and just God. Worship begins in this acknowledgment but it ends in a deeper connection between God’s heart and my own. It begins in my brokenness and ends in the mending of confidence where my heart can not just abide in victory but walk in confidence of that victory purchased through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. My worship transcends mere expression, my worship moves me deep into an abiding presence of God where we commune and fellowship… together. Peace, Sean Gutteridge
1 Chronicles 28:9-10
9 “And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
10 Be careful now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong and do it.”
