Marked By Love

OCTOBER 14

psalm 107 (2)My life should be marked by love. Every thing I say and do should have the markings of the Love of Christ on it. I don’t stop enough to evaluate my life to see IF this is the case. More over, I should be stopping frequently to  make sure that this IS the case.

When I look and find that I’m not leaving a trail of Love, evidenced by words and actions, I can begin searching my heart to find the culprit. The search promises not to be an exhaustive – probably less then a minute (if even that) – I am sure to find that once more, selfishness and pride have carved a new hut somewhere deep within my heart. God does so much for me but like a glutton, I take and take until fat and bloated then proclaim “I’m too full to move Lord!” Christ will fill me up but only for the purpose of pouring out on others what HE has poured in. The evidence will be telling wherever I go. My prayer is to first be filled. But my prayer cannot end until I’ve asked to be emptied in my desire to leave a trail of Jesus everywhere He sends me.

Let the Love of Jesus Christ mark you well enough to where He is spilling out of you daily. Be filled. Be leaky. And watch the trail of love you leave in your wake.

Peace, Sean Gutteridge

Today’s Scripture:

Song of Solomon 2:4

4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
